There are two ways to look at this lollipop, you could compare it to other Chupa Chups or just look at it on its own objectively. If you compare it to other Chupa Chups I think it’s probably a pretty low rating. There’s nothing particularly amazing about this lollipop, and it’s not very original. It’s strawberry, it tastes vaguely of strawberry but it’s got more of a fake strawberry flavour. The texture is pretty standard for lollipops, and it lasts about as long as the average lollipop. This isn’t that great a mark since I would rank Chupa Chups as above average lollipops. They often have unique and creative flavour, where this is just strawberry.

It’s not to say that it’s a bad lollipop. If I was to look at this lollipop objectively, it completely fits the bill of expectation. It tastes like (decent, fake) strawberry and it’s on a stick, that’s pretty much all you might expect. If I was handed this lollipop out of the wrapper I’d say it’s fine, but because it has a Chupa Chups wrapper I expect something more. It’s kind of unfair if I think about it, it’s not like the folks at Chupa Chups promised me anything but a regular strawberry lollipop.

I guess what I’m saying is, this is a perfectly good lollipop, it’s nothing flashy by any means, but it works well as a strawberry lollipop. If someone gave you this lollipop there’s no reason you shouldn’t eat it. If you have the choice of other lollipops, consider picking something that might excite you a little more. If there are other Chupa Chups available I would highly recommend giving one of them a try. Chupa Chups has some really unique and well thought out flavour, this isn’t one of them, but it’s not bad.
